The Subaru Legacy was released as an all-new model for the 2015 model-year (remember your first glance of the gorgeous new grille?) so we didn't really expect to see anything too wild for the 2017 model-year.
But Subaru had some surprises.
While Legacy 2.5i, Premium, Limited, and 3.6R Limited models stay largely the same, the 2017 Subaru Legacy Sport is all-new for the model year. And with an eye-catching new style and new-to-Subaru equipment, it's surely made to stand out in Washington, Canonsburg, Bethel Park, Pittsburgh PA, and Wheeling, WV.
Trim-specific exterior features like unique and aggressive wheels, a beautiful graphite grill, and eye-catching chrome rocker trim really make the Sport model pop. Inside, a grey-and-black two-tone design complement the silver and graphite accents on the outside, to create a bold and sleek look. The smart new Sport trim will also offer safety features like Reverse Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist as part of EyeSight option packages.
At first sight, you could easily think that this versatile and practical sedan would be holding the badge of a luxury brand. But with legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive coming standard, and impressing fuel economy in the city and on the highway, the stunning new Legacy Sport is still all Subaru.
Powertrain options and horsepower output remain the same, giving Washington-area drivers their choice of a 175-horsepower four-cylinder or a 256-horsepower six-cylinder. Subaru's smooth CVT helps optimize that performance for maximum fuel economy.
We can expect to see the new Legacy and Legacy sport at Budd Baer Subaru sometime in the next few weeks.
